Job Summary

Must be able to operate machinery in the fabrication department to exacting tolerances. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing high quality parts for the next internal customer in the chain.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machine castings to blueprint specifications
• Operate CNC controls, drills, broach and lathes
• Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES:                                                                     TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum

• Read Blueprints
•     Able to set up, read, and use various machining gauges; verniers, calipers, OD/ID mics etc.
• Read Tape Measure
• Basic Shop Math
• Ability to operate fork truck

Preferred

• Ability to work independently
• Dependability
• Ability to set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment
• Previous Machining Experience
• Basic computer skills
• General Metals Knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Previous experience in CNC machining capacity
•    High School diploma or GED
•    Machining Certification
•    Ability to work in a Team oriented setting

• Good Communication skills – Verbal & Written
