Position Specific Description
The Site Access Coordinator is a critical position for in-processing personnel at Point Beach. They are usually the first person at the site that a worker has interaction with and plays an important role representing Point Beach. This role requires a significant amount of organizational skills and is required to coordinate many moving pieces at one time. Work hours can extend past ‘normal hours’ as the AA/FFD Team is available to the Site 24/7/365. Although the job can be demanding and some job requirements less than tasteful, it can also be fun, interesting and rewarding. Many times, each day brings new and exciting challenges that you won’t experience in any other job at the site or in the country.
This position supports compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations regarding access for personnel to nuclear power plants. Employees in this role ensure that the company’s Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) program authorizes Unescorted Access (UA) to only those individuals who are trustworthy, reliable and do not pose public health and safety risks. This position performs Reviewing Official duties and activities related to implementation and maintenance of the NRC UAA/AA and Fitness for Duty (FFD) programs as required by Federal Regulations.
