Job Summary:
Entry level position that performs routine administrative and clerical tasks including data entry related to Buying Planning Marketing or Web support under designated supervisor for a worldwide retail organization. Serves in a developmental capacity for a Merchandiser NF-3 position PD 5357 .
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains relationships to collaboratively work to resolve any issues discrepancies with support areas.
- Communicates and responds to inquiries from internal and external customers to include HQ associates store operations vendors etc. Works closely with NEXCOM departments vendors stores etc. to facilitate flow of information pertaining to area of responsibility.
- Works in a learning capacity to develop the skills and knowledge and gain the experience necessary to advance to the next level.
- Assists in the preparation of required documents in accomplishing assigned tasks.
- Performs data entry functions related to assigned area of responsibility. Maintains proficiency in use of internal computer systems.
- Provides clerical support to other members of the team.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties such as answering phones opening mail filing typing distributing reports and creating presentations. - Works under close supervision.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Incumbent may progress non-competitively to a Merchandiser position NF-03 3A PD 5357 upon the completion of qualification requirements and documentation of the successful completion of predetermined official training within a one year timeframe advancement is not permitted with less than one year in current position
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
1 year experience in which applicant demonstrated the ability to perform clerical duties required.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for general experience. Substitution of additional education for specialized experience must include 6 semester hours in business subjects such as marketing accounting purchasing economics or other directly related courses.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
1 year experience in which the applicant has demonstrated experience with Microsoft office and software applications to include Excel PowerPoint and Word.
