Description:

The audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic services to adult and pediatric patients and will work closely with otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists, and advanced practice providers.

Audiologist – Full Time – Days

In this role, you will conduct immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions, speech audiometry and vestibular testing as appropriate, newborn rescreening as part of the hearing aid evaluation, fitting, programming, counseling, troubleshooting, and follow-up Provide patient education regarding hearing loss and amplification options  Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record  Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development

Preferred

  • American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) or eligibility preferred
  • New York State License to Dispense Hearing Aids
  •  Experience in medical/ENT -based audiology practice
  • Experience with pediatric audiology  Familiarity with cochlear implant candidacy testing

Required

  • Master’s Degree in Audiology
  • Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited program
  • Eligible for New York State licensure in Audiology
