Kids Thrive is currently recruiting for the key leadership position of Quality and Training Coordinator.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT
The Quality and Training Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of programs, compliance with standards, and effective data and employee record management. This position supports organizational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, compliance activities, curriculum development, and coordination of critical processes. The Quality and Training Coordinator must possess strong skills in pediatric mental health treatment and maintain a working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, and CARF regulations.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, evaluate, and oversee the collection and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual data.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular chart audits to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant documentation of client care.
  • Provide feedback and training to program leadership based on audit findings to improve documentation, quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Manage the credentialing process for all providers, ensuring all certifications and licenses are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee license renewal processes and ensure adherence to accreditation and licensing requirements, including preparation for regular site visits and inspections.
  • Develop, review, and oversee the implementation of therapeutic and educational curricula tailored to the needs of clients.
  • Ensure curricula align with evidence-based practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Design, coordinate, and deliver onboarding programs for new providers to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Plan and oversee ongoing professional development and training programs for all staff to maintain and enhance service quality.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to support organizational decision-making and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation to support quality initiatives, licensing, and accreditation processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support organizational initiatives.
  • Attends trainings as necessary and supports staff training and orientation. 
  • Oversees completion of all quality and performance indicators for the program. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of Kids Thrive.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Psychology, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting 
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Experience with compliance processes, including CARF, OMHAS, or Medicaid, is preferred.

  • Answers telephone appropriate to department guidelines and avoids excessive transfers. 
  • Provides superior customer service while never crossing therapeutic boundaries.
  • Demonstrates ability to listen to client/customers regarding problematic issues in a non-defensive manner.
  • Adheres to attendance requirements. Utilizes correct procedure for taking time off.  
  • Attends departmental and staff meetings as required.
  • Is accountable and shows pride in work; strives to do more than the minimum required.  Shows initiative and completes work in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Acknowledges mistakes and demonstrates willingness to learn and correct them.  
  • Demonstrates passion and hustle in all work.
