Day (Blue) Shift: 6a-6p, 2-2-3 Split

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Grinding of scrap parts
• Operating the rail side unloading system
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
• Grinding area Inside and outside rail car areas
• Pump houses
• Silo areas

• Maintain housekeeping standards of assigned areas

• Minor maintenance of equipment
• Maintain and operate the material loading system
• Operate the plastic extruder

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work outside for short periods of time
• Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to effectively communicate in writing and orally with others
• Must follow all safety procedures
• Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), steel toe boots, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Lift Truck certified (preferred, but not necessary.) If not certified in lift truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time
• Material Tech/Grinders working on a Continuous Ops shift – knowledge of resins/materials/colors is preferred
• Knowledge of the extrusion process or experience running an extruder preferred
