About the Role

The role coordinates and implements venue operations and processes for State and Local Government Elections and supports the Senior Venues Officer towards the successful conduct of election events. The role is also responsible for supervisory activities that contribute to the development and delivery of all venue related functions and activities, trouble shooting and complex problem solving in the lead up to and during elections.

The role is an Ongoing Full-time position.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Experience in analysing and applying legislation, policy, guidelines and standard operation procedure documents
  • Operational and coordination experience in providing support in a high-volume high-pressure environment across a matrix organisation
  • Ability to manage and supervise contingent labour during elections operations at centralised count centres
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience in one or more applications, ie Word Processing, Excel, Microsoft Project, Content Manager (records management) and database applications.
  • Intermediate understanding of systems and ICT infrastructure
  • Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check result.

A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same work classification that may become available for filling over the next 18 months.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement. You must also be able to attend centralised count centres during election operations.
