Job Summary

New England Mechanical Services is currently seeking HVAC Technicians with D2 or S2 licenses to maintain trouble shoot, repair and operate commercial HVAC systems for our South Windsor CT Operations Group.

 

This position prefers the selected individuals to have commercial HVAC systems experience, the ability to respond on a moment’s notice, and strong communication skills

 

A company vehicle, HVAC equipment, gas card, cell phone, uniforms, and all PPE is provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include but not limited to the following.

Keep trade licenses and certifications current. Follow and comply with the rules and regulations of section 608 of the clean air act and occupational safety regulations mandated by federal, state and local governments.

Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.

Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.

Interact with the client in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.

Flexible to work overtime and weekends as demand requires.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current CT S2 or D2 license. 
  • EPA 608 Universal required.
  • Commercial HVAC systems experience. 
  • Must have a clean driving record

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.
