Job Summary

Technical Program Management Office (TPMO) in Cloud Storage and Services Business Unit is responsible for leading programs for integrated, fully managed, high performance scalable cloud storage solution across Azure, Google Cloud and AWS. This Technical Program Manager will own and manage the end-to-end program management of NetApp’s key growth initiatives in the Cloud Storage and Services Business Unit identified by the CEO and executive leadership team.  This position will report directly to the Director, TPMO, Cloud Storage and Services Business Unit.  Key responsibilities include working cross-functional with all stakeholders to identify and gain alignment around a set of deliverables and program milestones that lead to strategic solutions. Stakeholders could be internal to NetApp or external customers, vendors, and partners.

 


The incumbent will lead the cross-functional team from concept, design, implementation to launch the product/service in the market while working within the guidelines and cadence defined by the program team.

Responsibilities

  • Own program management of key initiatives, delivery, and results.
  • Enable cooperation and alignment in the program across all roles and functions in multiple geos.
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating current and future resource needs of program.
  • Navigate through ambiguity and drive the team towards the common goals.
  • Build deep and productive working relationships with senior-level business and shared services partners; challenging business assumptions and offering a point of view to assist in the decision-making process.
  • Provide senior leaders updates regarding deployment progress, results, and feedback regarding program.
  • Identify important issues and risks, recommend options and facilitate team decisions.
  • Requires an understanding of stakeholder motivations, politics and impacts to the organization.
  • Utilize effective project management, business process management, team building, and change achieve business results.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience leading large and complex cross functional engineering projects and product implementations.
  • Ability to understand project and resource interdependencies within a program or portfolio.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with ability to influence at all levels in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Results oriented: proven track record to take initiative, work with minimal direction, to deliver results.
  • Demonstrated ability to mitigate risks proactively, resolve issues, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience with Agile, a plus.
  • Cloud and Storage industry experience & PMP Certification is a plus.

Education

  • 8+ years of experience of successful releases for multiple products or services in technology focused programs.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $153,000-$190,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
