JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION
The Sr Analyst Category Management supports the Category Managers to drive sales, share, equity, and category growth.  This role influences category strategy utilizing frozen industry knowledge, shopper insights, and business analytics. Additionally, the position identifies growth opportunities via best-in-class analytics including assortment optimization and space planning. Working cross functionally with our corporate based team to drive results is a key success factor.  


SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-    Foster a consultative approach that helps set category direction -

-    Develop trust with the buying team via an objective category focus and by consistently being a valued advisor that identifies growth opportunities
-    Technical proficiency and expertise in insights platforms to drive efficient identification of category growth driver opportunities and ideas to close gaps  
-    Demonstrate initiative and intellectual curiosity to explore the data and insights to develop actionable insights and push new and creative thought   -    Be an expert data driven storyteller that delivers the insights in high impact visualizations  -    Category Strategy Review deep dive analytics cultivation and customer presentation creation 
-    Collaborate with Category Management teams across Headquarters and Field cross-functional teams


BUSINESS SUPPORT
-    Supports the assortment precision process to define optimal assortment and make aisle flow recommendations -    Supports development of retailers’ ecommerce through assortment recommendations and site development enabled through the guidance of our ecommerce team -    Develops custom reporting using customer data and advanced analytics  -    Leverages tools and data to develop new insights
-    Interprets company category story into customer specific opportunities for growth


PLANNING AND EXECUTION 
-    With support and coaching from Manager, Category Development and customer team, develops and executes annual strategic priorities and goals category strategy and vision -    Support customer team JBP and other preparation for meetings with buyer, as appropriate SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in category, sales, marketing, etc.
- 3+ years work experience in Analyst, Category Development, Sales Support roles in the CPG industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
- Experience in syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen etc.) preferred
- Experience working with large datasets.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-Ability to work across the Microsoft office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Words, Teams) - Basic financial acumen - Understands the CPG industry - Ability to sell an idea persuasively and to collaborate with others
- Ability to build diverse collaborative relationships
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Comfort communicating and presenting cross-functionally
- Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, matrix environment
