We are seeking a Quality Manager to manage a globally distributed team of QE professionals.

 

About the Role: 

  1. Team Leadership and Development
    1. Lead and mentor the quality engineering team, ensuring high performance and career growth.
    2. Recruit and train new members to ensure the team has the right skill set.
    3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the team.
  2. Quality Strategy and Planning
    1. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with product, and engineering objectives.
    2. Plan and allocate resources to ensure timely and efficient testing of products
    3. Collaborate with other teams (Engineering, Product) to ensure that quality is considered at every phase of development, with an emphasis of “Shift Left” mindset.
    4. Understanding system architecture and follow through design/technical documents to build testing strategy.
  3. Risk Management and Problem Solving
    1. Identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle and implement preventive measures.
    2. Resolve critical issues and manage risks effectively to minimize impact on project timelines
  4. Process Improvement
    1. Establish and continuously refine testing processes and best practices.
    2. Ensure that testing practices align with industry standards and practices.
  5. Testing and Quality Assurance
    1. Oversee the execution of test plans, test cases, and automated scripts.
    2. Ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
    3. Evaluate test results and provide the detailed reports to stakeholders, ensuring issues are identified and resolved.
  6. Collaboration and Communication
    1. Work closely with development teams, ensuring that quality is built into the product from the ground up.
    2. Serve as a liaison between management and the quality engineering team, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated.
    3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction through quality deliverables.
  7. Metric and Reporting
    1. Define and monitor key quality metrics (defect rates, test coverage, release quality, etc.).
    2. Report regularly to Senior management on quality status, risks, and overall performance.
    3. Implement continuous monitoring systems to track product quality after releases.
  8. Compliance and Standards
    1. Ensure that the organization adheres to regulatory and industry standards in its quality processes.
    2. Conduct regular audits to test cases, test plans to assess validity and continuity, identify areas of improvements.
    3. Jira book keeping, make sure things are cleaned up and close loop process in place.

About You: 

  • 7+ years of experience (including former management experience) 
  • Strong background in software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, automation, performance)
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, etc.)
  • Expertise in project management tools (Jira, etc.)
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. The base pay range for this position is: $129,400 - $177,850
