Overview

Nelson Mullins law firm is looking to add a mid-level Civil Litigation Associate to its product liability team in the Los Angeles office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this is a unique opportunity to join an expanding practice that offers a range of litigation services to clients in a variety of industries.

A Day in the Life

You’ll be joining an outgoing and fast paced team that handles all aspects of litigation. Many of the attorneys have worked in-house for major motor vehicle manufacturers and they draw on the resources of the Firm to provide national and international clients counsel in areas including employment, environmental, intellectual property, and technology matters. Our LA office is positioned twenty minutes from downtown Los Angeles and twenty minutes from Redondo Beach.     We are seeking a litigation associate with 3 to 5 years of meaningful, hands-on experience in product liability and general litigation, specifically practicing in California. The ideal candidate will have a background in product liability focused on the automotive, medical device, and/or consumer products industries and a strong track record in California state and federal courts. Responsibilities include drafting motions and other substantive briefs, managing discovery, handling hearings and arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial. Candidates should demonstrate initiative in case strategy and be comfortable taking ownership of matters in a fast-paced environment.  Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, thorough understanding of civil procedure rules, and strong academic credentials are essential. Appellate experience is a strong plus but not required. Admission to the California Bar in good standing is required.

    • In Los Angeles, California, the salary/wage range is $205,000 - $235,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off
