Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 / year The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market. This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates. Essential Responsibilities Set, test, wire, and install relaying and control systems, specifically SEL equipment. Program, installation, and testing of SCADA and PLC systems, primarily SELRTACs Produce configuration files associated with IEC61850 (GOOSE), DNP3, or other SCADA protocols Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including specifications, RFIs, studies Perform detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications Perform SCADA and relay field testing and commissioning services Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for SCADA systems such as SEL RTAC, Ignition, or PLCs. Checking the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required Understanding and experience with applicable Codes and Standards such as NEC, NESC, and PRC Mobilize and perform field assignments to commission, inspect, or troubleshoot substation control systems Experience with grid connected or islanded microgrid control operation is a plus (generator controls, load balancing schemes, etc.) Other duties as assigned Must Have Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred Experience: 2 – 5 years of relevant engineering or field experience Licensure: FE is preferred Knowledge and familiarity with medium and high voltage power systems, with strong knowledge in SCADA SEL equipment installation and configuration, RTAC experience is a plus Experience with configuring, testing, and commissioning IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, and/or other SCADA protocols Experience creating Network Architecture Diagrams Experience with substation or data center medium voltage equipment is a plus Proficiency with AutoCAD Previous Interactions with clients, customers, contractors and others Assist with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings Ability to travel periodically for weeks across states for field work as needed Possesses effective written and oral communications skills Good interpersonal and people skills Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Working Conditions Work Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work is also required Travel: Typical: 15 – 25% Physical Activities: Managerial Responsibilities: Must be able to lift 50lbs. Team Member is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from their supervisor and completing assigned tasks. Team Member should identify discrepancies in assigned work and bring to attention of supervisor or engineer responsible for the project in a timely manner.  Team Member’s work product should be self-checked in a manner that is suitable for review by the supervisor or engineer responsible for the project.
