Patient Safety Assistant -- Night Shift

A Patient Safety Assistant focused on monitoring is responsible for observing and interacting with confused, violent, combative, or suicidal patients to prevent injury. They assist with basic patient care functions and notify nursing staff for immediate interventions when needed. They remain in the room at all times, except for breaks, and may also observe multiple patients via video monitoring. This role is crucial for ensuring patient safety, early detection of health issues, and timely medical intervention.

Work Shift -- Night Shift -- Part Time and Full Time Available

  • Full Time and Part Time Shifts Available
  • 8-hour shifts Monday-Sunday -- 11:00pm - 7:30am
  • This position is self-scheduling offering varied days including Weekends and Holidays.
  • Must be able to work at least 16 hours a week (2 days Monday – Sunday)
  • Required to float to our Bellevue Campus occasionally

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • High school education OR equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and behavioral management skills that promote safety of confused or suicidal patients required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health care student, military medic experience OR comparable work experience in a health care environment preferred.
