Sandpiper Heating & Air Conditioning, a trusted home comfort provider in the Calabash, NC area, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team. Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential (and light commercial) heating and cooling systems. This position plays a key role in delivering reliable comfort solutions and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and related components

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system tune-ups

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues

• Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers

• Complete service documentation accurately using mobile technology

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional company vehicle and work area

• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and local/state regulations

• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred

• EPA Certification (required)

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls effectively

• Residential HVAC experience required; light commercial experience a plus
