The Role Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be an experienced and dependable individual contributor with strong expertise in manual testing for web and mobile platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, supporting others, and driving quality through collaboration rather than formal line management. You will be a highly detail-oriented professional, comfortable managing complex testing scenarios and motivated to continuously improve QA practices. While primarily functional, you should have foundational knowledge of test automation and a desire to develop further in this area.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure software releases meet established quality standards through thorough functional testing, defect reporting, and validation.

• Design, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.

• Work closely with Product, Development, and Delivery teams to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing scope.

• Perform exploratory, regression, and UAT-support testing across multiple platforms and devices.

• Support automation initiatives where appropriate and contribute ideas for improving QA processes and team efficiency.

• Log, track, and clearly document defects, acting as a quality advocate to help teams understand risk, impact, and root causes.

• Act as a senior QA voice within the team, supporting less experienced QAs through guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing.

You are a Senior QA Engineer with:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on functional/manual testing.

• Proven experience testing web and/or mobile applications in Agile environments.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to quality.

• Confidence in supporting others and influencing quality outcomes without formal authority.

• A proactive and pragmatic mindset with the ability to work independently and take accountability.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have:

• Basic exposure to test automation tools or frameworks with a clear willingness to learn.

• Awareness of API testing and performance testing concepts.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
