About this role

 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our AML Operations Team and play a key role in protecting the business from economic crime. As part of our highly respected Economic Crime department, you’ll help safeguard Nationwide and its members from threats such as money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and bribery.

This is a fluid role where you’ll work with advanced detection systems, tackling ever-evolving financial crime risks while delivering an exceptional experience for our members. Your contribution will make a real difference not just to the business but to the lives of our members supporting our purpose of putting them at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong leadership and collaboration skills. You’ll have proven experience in leading and motivating teams, setting goals, driving performance and resolving challenges effectively. Exceptional communication and influencing skills are essential, enabling you to engage stakeholders at all levels and present complex information clearly.

You’ll also need a solid background in managing operational risks and implementing controls to ensure compliance within a financial crime setting, excellent written skills for producing reports for senior audiences and a deep understanding of financial crime legislation, regulatory standards and industry guidance

This is an 18 month secondment opportunity.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, Northampton, Bournemouth, London or Dunfermline office. Whilst these locations are where we are primarily looking to fill the role, if you’re an internal applicant based in a different location we would welcome your application and if successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this could work for this specific role.
