Nationwide IT Services, NIS is seeking an experienced System Administrator for a potential opportunity with experience in Visual Requirements View (VRV) to lead a critical Air Force support contract at Patrick Space Force Base, in Florida.
Position Overview: Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and configuration of Air Force / Space Force information systems. This role serves as the technical lead for the administration team, ensuring system availability and reliability while meeting all DoD 8140 cyber workforce qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Network Administration, manage and maintain server, network, and desktop infrastructure
- Information Assurance
- Perform software installations
- Patch management
- System upgrades in accordance with Air Force policies
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
- Mentor junior administrators and ensure team compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in System Administration and Information Assurance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is highly desired.
- DoD 8140 Compliance: Must meet DoDM 8140.03 qualification requirements for the relevant Cyber IT work role (e.g., System Administrator - 451) at the Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification) required prior to start.
