We're seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to join the growing team at our optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. 

Shift:  2nd

Hours:  Sundays - Thursdays, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

General Summary:  Entry-level Maintenance Technician responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment in the production lab.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance on equipment, maintaining PM checklists
• Handling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down time
• Servicing CNC Edgers and Generators: cleaning, performing routine tasks, changing or fixing parts and recalibrating
• Maintaining Edgers and Blockers: keep filters and components clean, change cutters, checks for prism and axis
• Servicing other equipment and systems in the lab
• Follow all safety rules, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilize PPE if required
• Generally assist maintenance team, senior maintenance technicians, help with routine tasks, maintenance housekeeping in work areas and other tasks as assigned

• 1 year previous experience in industrial or facility maintenance
• Experience in manufacturing industry equipment preferable
• Mechanically inclined, ability to utilize various tools and general maintenance understanding 
• No specific education is required
• Must be able to read and write English
