About this role

NUC University's Continuing Education Division is seeking a dynamic and organized Business Development Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and growth of our educational programs.

In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and evaluating academic offerings, forging strategic alliances with public and private organizations, and promoting our courses to graduates, professionals, and the community. You will ensure all activities align with NUC University's mission and meet the strict standards of accrediting bodies. This position requires a leader with strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for lifelong learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise continuing education activities to ensure they meet established goals, purposes, and objectives.
  • Responsible for preparing and evaluating course programming (both current and proposed), ensuring alignment with the graduates' needs, public/private companies, the community, and the NUC University philosophy.
  • Hire qualified instructors and resources for course offerings.
  • Responsible for preparing proposals for short courses targeted to graduates, health professionals, and the general community.
  • Visit public agencies and private companies to promote program offerings.
  • Develop collaborative alliances with companies to offer educational activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards established by sponsoring agencies and other training providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all institutional rules and academic procedures applicable to the Division of Continuing Education.
  • Coordinate the registration process for admitted students.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to the Continuing Education office staff.
  • Work closely with the immediate supervisor on all procedures related to the establishment and development of academic programs.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting a weekly Work Plan report.
  • Collaborate on the development of strategic business development plans.
  • Responsible for providing ongoing training and performance evaluations for assigned personnel.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or related fields.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Supervisory experience

 Language Skills:

  • Full professional fluency (verbal and written) in both Spanish and English is required

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Demonstrated mastery of managerial and leadership skills
  • Experience in personnel supervision and management
  • Availability to work irregular hours and be available as required
  • Ability to plan, develop, and organize your own work agenda
  • Ability to use multiple databases effectively and generate periodic reports
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and work as part of a team
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong capacity for analysis, sound judgment, and decision-making
  • Excellent effective communication skills (both written and verbal) in Spanish and English
  • High attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Ability and good judgment to comply with all institutional policies, rules, and procedures

  • Highly organized and structured
  • Excellent technological skills; MS Office, Teams, Skype, Campus Vue, Campus Nexus, Velocify, Anthology, among others

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to overcome objections with positive outcomes
