About this role

Job Description:

The Information Technology Group of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer III. This position is responsible for collaborating with a scrum team and stakeholders to develop applications for our customers. Also responsible for improving and adapting existing applications to meet ongoing security requirements and feature enhancements. This is a full-time hybrid-remote position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop applications based on business and technical requirements
  • Implement application design by utilizing development languages and tools
  • Develop and execute unit tests for assigned projects
  • Ensure the code is scalable and meets performance requirements for assigned projects through performance tuning

Management Responsibilities

This position does not have direct reports.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Computer Science or associate’s degree in applied science specific to Computer Science, and five plus years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Travel

Compensation

$80,000- $105,000, commensurate with education and experience.
