The Executive Communications Manager will drive National Grid’s external executive communications with clarity, precision, and strategic intent. In this role, you will shape how senior leaders show up externally—crafting messaging that clearly articulates the company’s priorities, performance, and long‑term direction to key audiences.
With a strong emphasis on financial PR, you will translate complex financial information and corporate developments into accessible, accurate, and impactful communications. You’ll prepare executives for high‑stakes external engagements—media activity, investor conversations, industry platforms, and thought‑leadership opportunities—ensuring their messages are well‑structured, aligned, and backed by a strong narrative.
You’ll work cross‑functionally alongside Communications, Investor Relations, Corporate Affairs, Legal, and the Executive Office to ensure consistency and influence across all channels. Your work will strengthen the visibility, credibility, and reputation of National Grid’s leadership and help shape the organisation’s external voice.
This role is about elevating executive communications with discipline, insight, and strategic impact.
A competitive salary between £59,000 - £72,000 per annum– dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
