About this role
Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Swim Lesson Coordinator, the Assistant Swim Lesson Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning, organization, and implementation of the learn-to-swim program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the implementation of the learn-to-swim program.
- Support assigning, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards.
- Is responsible for training, and developing, and reviewing performance of staff.
- Prepare and maintain required records and reports.
- Organize all pre-season training and weekly in-service training.
- Maintain equipment and material inventory.
- Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to all customer comments and inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain a high level of readiness and preparedness in handling emergency situations.
- Ability to display professionalism with participants.
- Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in aquatics or teaching, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Considerations:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions.
- Subject to modified/flexible work schedules.
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs on a weekly basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
- Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.

Full Salary Range: $16.00/hr-$20.00/hr
