We are hiring a Research Fellow in Signal Processing and Machine Learning to develop signal processing and machine learning algorithms and methods for accurate localization and tracking of 5G network User Equipment (UE) in urban environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Study 5G protocol and implementation to uncover protocol/waveform features, impairments due to implementations and urban environment that could facilitate/impair UE localization.
Develop the signal model for localization of UEs in the urban environment incorporating signal propagation.
Develop signal processing and machine learning algorithms and methods for wireless localization and tracking of UEs in 5G networks.
Perform software/hardware implementation and empirical studies.
Prepare report and conduct presentation at seminars.
Assist PI in proposal writing and help supervise graduate students.
Job Requirements:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or other related fields.
Familiarity with machine learning and signal processing algorithms for wireless communications.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
