The key objective is to support efforts to develop wood based membranes for resource recovery.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to develop and study novel wood-based membrane materials. The role will focus on wood processing, polymer functionalization, experimental design and characterization to develop novel membranes and study their structure-performance relationships. Through these contributions, the Research Fellow will support NTU’s mission of research excellence and societal impact through innovation
Key Responsibilities:
Lead research activities to ensure the timely completion of project objectives and deliverables.
Process and polymerize various types of wood to develop membranes for experimental study
Conduct experimental characterization of wood based membranes, including chemical, structural, and mechanical.
Investigate the internal network structure of membranes to understand anisotropic behaviour of these membranes and establish structure-property relationships.
Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to conference presentations.
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques and research methods.
Support the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities, including procurement of supplies and liaison with vendors and suppliers.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
At least 1 year of relevant postdoctoral experiences
