We are looking for a Research Associate in Environmental Engineering to harness engineered microorganisms for biosynthesis of green energy such as biofuels, biochemicals and biohydrogen. The role will focus on developing synthetic microbial systems to enable efficient and controllable biotransformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply environmental biotechnology to construct pure culture or mixed culture system.
Operate bioreactors and optimize process conditions for biosynthesis.
Perform experiments to improve the performance and functionality of microbial systems.
Develop and implement synthetic biology approaches to engineer pure and mixed culture systems.
Apply engineered systems for the production of high-value bioproducts.
Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and intellectual property (IP) disclosures.
Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, documentation, and quality control.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in environmental science and engineering or related field
Familiarity with environmental biotechnology and other relevant net-zero technologies
Hands-on laboratory experience in relevant experimental research.
A record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals in environmental engineering or related fields.
Good written and oral communication skills
