We are looking for a Research Assistant to support the division’s mission of advancing impactful research by working closely with the Principal Investigator and lab members on one or more ongoing projects. In this role, he/she contributes directly to generating high-quality insights that advance knowledge in Information Systems and related domains. The Research Assistant is expected to bring experience or a strong interest in at least one of the division’s core research areas, helping drive studies that inform practice, shape academic discourse, and support ITOM’s broader goal of creating research with meaningful societal impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Research support: Conduct literature reviews, assist in project design, and collect, clean, and analyze primary and secondary data.
Data analysis: Utilize statistical software like STATA or R, depending on the project's needs.
Project administration: Help with project management tasks such as seeking ethics approvals, tracking budgets, and preparing progress reports.
Lab work and Fieldwork: Coordinate research laboratory sessions and fieldwork, which may involve conducting experiments, surveys, interviews, or interventions, and managing data quality.
Dissemination: Contribute to the writing of research papers, reports, policy briefs, and presentations for various audiences.
Event organization: Assist in organizing research seminars, conferences, and other events.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in information systems or related field
At least 3 years of research experience in laboratory settings
Familiarity with neuroscience techniques (e.g., eye-tracking)
Good written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in data management, statistical analyses
Competent in information visualization and interaction design
Interpersonal skill (e.g., Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills)
