Nanyang Assistant Professor (Tenure-track)

The Division of Physics and Applied Physics in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of NTU provides a multidisciplinary academic program that provides students with a wide-ranging and up-to-date education. It offers undergraduate training leading to BSc (Hons) in Physics or Applied Physics, as well as graduate training leading to MSc and PhD degrees. The candidates are expected to:
- Establish a world-class research program,
- Enhance the School’s visibility as an international leader in education and research
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Actively collaborate with NTU faculty and researchers
Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality innovative research in terms of publishing top-tier papers
- Giving invited talks at international conferences, securing competitive research grants, and supervising research personnel
- Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Giving academic supervision of undergraduate and graduate students
- Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles
- Contribute to other service-related activities assigned by School and University
Requirements:
- PhD in Physics or a related discipline
- Strong record of research and relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals
- A good track record of supervising research staff, postdocs, students, and interns in relevant fields
- Experienced in cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration
