YOUR NEW ROLE

· This role is responsible for uncovering insights from customer onboarding and customer profile data to identify quality issues, recommend remediation, and improve compliance and operational efficiency

· Understand how data is used in the business area, where it comes from and where it goes.

·Build and sustain networks with Business area SMEs and stakeholders associated with data flows

·Have an awareness of key processes and business applications

·Working alongside the Business Data Steward and teams within the business to identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) for the Domain

·Understand the principles and use of data lineage for CDEs

·Understand the Data Quality measurement principles and monitoring of CDEs

·Assist the Business Data Steward with the assessment of data risk and impacts resulting form initiative changes

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

·8+ years in a data science, analytics, or data quality role (preferably in banking or financial services)

·Proven experience analysing onboarding/KYC data and diagnosing quality and integration issues

·Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders across business and risk functions

·Comfortable with iterative delivery, ambiguity, and multiple data sources

·Programming & Analytics: SQL, Python, pandas, Excel, and Jupyter

·Visualization & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau

·Data Quality Analysis: Profiling, DQ rules (completeness, uniqueness, consistency), and root cause methods

·Understanding of CDEs, DQ scorecards, and data risk frameworks (e.g. APRA CPG 235)

·Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable business insight
