We’re Hiring: Python Backend Developer (12-Month Contract) – London | Hybrid (3 days WFO)

What you’ll do:
Design and build scalable backend components, services, and RESTful APIs to power seamless front-end experiences.
Continuously review and improve our systems while tackling technical debt.
Influence and deliver on the product roadmap, driving KPIs and tangible business impact.
Mentor and grow the team’s software engineering skills, culture, and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
8+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with Python.
Strong software engineering principles: scalable design, computational complexity, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
Database expertise in PostgreSQL and designing maintainable architectures.
Excellent communication skills – you can influence, collaborate, and navigate ambiguity confidently.
Self-starter mindset – you identify risks, propose solutions, and get things done.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
