OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as the hospital operator.
Performs general department clerical duties.
Know requirements for consent for treatment and knowledge of guardianship as well as Mental Health Consent.
Ability to handle effectively multiple tasks simultaneously.
Appropriately maintains department and physician on-call schedule.
Respond appropriate to alarms located at switchboard.
Appropriately assign beds and works closely with nursing and accurate census at any given time.
Participates and attends meetings as required.
Accurate and complete demographic information is obtained to ensure integrity of data base.
Acts as a patient advocate, crossing multi-disciplinary lines to meet patient needs.
Give activity report to next shift of on call changes, situations in ER, House Manager, etc.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must also be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
