SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our mission is to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses by ensuring workplaces comply with health and safety laws. We achieve this through a mix of responsive and proactive programs targeting high-risk areas across all industries, aligned with our strategic plan and regulatory priorities.
SafeWork NSW has just transformed to become a modern, strong, and independent Work Health and Safety Regulator. As part of this change, we have an opportunity within our Investigations & Enforcement Directorate which is responsible for leading the investigation of Work Health and Safety incidents and for leading and contributing to 1st response activities for critical WHS incidents. The Directorate also manages the High-Risk Workplace and Repeat Offender Program as well as the SafeWork’s Enforceable Undertakings function. More broadly the Directorate also leads and or contributes to building and maintaining critical partnerships and relationships with other regulators, communicates WHS regulatory outcomes and lessons learnt to industry and the community.
About the role:
This role is well suited to a motivated Regulatory Services Officer who thrives in a high‑volume, fast‑paced regulatory environment. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Investigations and Enforcement Directorate and will work across a wide variety of interesting and diverse tasks.
