  • Clerk Grade 7/8 role base salary ($113,574- $125,720)  
  • Temporary up to November 2026 with the potential to extend, based in Mascot, NSW 

 

About the Role 

As a Project Officer (Identified) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of governance practices that uphold objectives, operations, and maintain high standards of governance across the agency. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic outcomes and make a meaningful impact. 

 

This role is part of Aboriginal Affairs, Reform and Innovation branch. Reform and Innovation work in genuine partnership with Aboriginal peoples and communities to shape policies and reforms that reflect their needs and aspirations. The branch plays a key role in delivering the NSW Government’s commitments under Closing the Gap and advancing Aboriginal land and cultural heritage reform.

We're Looking For 

  • Project Coordination & Delivery – Ability to coordinate and deliver project activities, manage documentation, prepare reports and briefs, and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and to quality standards. 
  • Governance & Policy Experience - Contribute to the development and implementation of governance frameworks and policies to support strategic objectives 
  • Strong Communication and Stakeholder Management – Skilled in drafting clear and accurate correspondence and briefings, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating working groups and consultations to support project delivery. 
  • Research & Analysis – Experience undertaking research, analysing trends, evaluating initiatives and preparing evidence based advice to support informed decision making and contribute to Closing the Gap reform outcomes.
