Economic Advisor, Performance Budgeting Frameworks

Your day as an Economic Advisor

Your typical day-to-day work will include contributing to the work of the team by assisting, and where appropriate, leading in the delivery of high-quality research, advice and analysis to inform development and implementation of the NSW Performance and Wellbeing Framework. You will contribute, and where appropriate, lead strategic projects, research papers and/or budget paper products. The role involves a strong team focus and ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.

You will be joining our Economic Strategy & Productivity Group and will be working within the Centre for Economic Evidence Division. Read more about your future Group and Division.

Achieve success as Economic Advisor

In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, public policy, law or another related field and/or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in developing advice and critically evaluating policy issues in a complex environment to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Strong written and communication skills are crucial; and experience in excel.
  • Familiarity with key metrics and methodologies used in assessing wellbeing and performance is highly regarded

Eligibility
