About the role

As an Assistant Associate, Ministerial and Parliamentary Services in the Office of the Secretary, you play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the Ministerial and Parliamentary Services team. Working at the heart of government engagement, you ensure the timely and accurate coordination of ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, briefing notes and information, manage key communication channels and records systems, and support the quality of departmental outputs.

In this fast-paced, detail-oriented role you will need strong administrative and coordination skills. You’ll navigate complex workflows, manage sensitive information, and liaise across ministerial offices and the department.

Whether triaging requests, tracking progress, or contributing to process improvements, your work will ensure the department remains responsive, consistent, and aligned with government protocols - supporting informed decision-making at the highest levels.

About you
You have well-developed organisational skills, a good eye for detail, and a demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment delivering to tight deadlines.

You enjoy developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You have a demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and maintain records and documentation, ensuring that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have an interest in learning about Ministerial and Parliamentary processes, and how they support the functioning of Government.
