We are My Gym Children’s Fitness Center – the ultimate children’s fitness and developmental activity center
– Lincoln Park, Chicago, and we get to sing, dance, and play all day… in a T-shirt and socks!!

Who are you?
- Someone who is high-energy, loves to play, be silly, and thinks corn isn’t cringe.
- A warm friend. A team player who follows through and always gives 100%.
- Reliable and communicative. Our kids will bond with you, so ghosts need not apply.
Your skill set:
- A genuine love for young children – from babies to upper elementary ages.
- Ability to work morning shifts (8:30am-2:00pm) and/or afternoon shifts (3:00-7:30pm), including at least one shift per weekend.
- Commitment to train and take direction well/easily.
- Stage presence – if the idea of performing sounds scary, we might not be the right fit for you.
- Willingness to clean (cleaning is a huge part of what we do – it’s how we keep each other and our kids safe & healthy!).
- Effective leadership and motivational skills.
- A background in dance, sports, theatre, or fitness is a huuuuge plus!
Pay starts at $15 per hour. Average trained staff member earns $16-$17 per hour.

HISTORY
The innovative My Gym concept began bouncing around in 1983 when our three founders – Yacov and Susi Sherman and Bill Caplin – collaborated to create a truly unique children’s fitness curriculum. Each having a different fitness-focused background: dance, gymnastics, and overall athletics, the trio put together a program that combined all three.
Their ultimate goal? To give kids a place to call their own – not mom’s gym, not dad’s gym – my gym.
Enter Cory Bertisch and Monique Vranesh, family friends of the Shermans. With Cory and Monique’s aid and ambition, the My Gym franchise opportunity became official in 1994 and spread strategically across the United States before expanding internationally in 2008.
