My Gym Children’s Fitness Center, the ultimate children’s facility in Chicago, is looking to grow its family of teachers at our location in Lincoln Park! We’re seeking out someone who has a passion for fitness, really likes kids, and loves to be part of a tight-knit team that works closely with children and families. A job at My Gym goes beyond just teaching “Mommy and Me” programs and fitness classes; it is one where you build relationships and get to invest in the youth of our community! - Loves working with children and would consider yourself a kid at heart
- Is a “people person”
- Is great at working in collaboration with other people in a fun and supportive environment
- Has experience in fitness (gymnastics, dance, team sports, cheer, martial arts, or related field)
- Is patient, outgoing, and has an upbeat personality
- Can work weekends (We throw wonderful, memorable birthday parties year-round.)
- Is willing to really grow with us (and the kids!) and can commit to at least a year of employment
- Ability to work 15+ hours per week, including weekends
- Highly energetic
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working with children
- 1-3 years experience in athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, or related field
- Effective leadership and motivational skills
- Effective time management

HISTORY
The innovative My Gym concept began bouncing around in 1983 when our three founders – Yacov and Susi Sherman and Bill Caplin – collaborated to create a truly unique children’s fitness curriculum. Each having a different fitness-focused background: dance, gymnastics, and overall athletics, the trio put together a program that combined all three.
Their ultimate goal? To give kids a place to call their own – not mom’s gym, not dad’s gym – my gym.
Enter Cory Bertisch and Monique Vranesh, family friends of the Shermans. With Cory and Monique’s aid and ambition, the My Gym franchise opportunity became official in 1994 and spread strategically across the United States before expanding internationally in 2008.

What you'll do
