In close cooperation and coordination with the Business Unit Director - Materials, this position will interface with MULTIVAC’s Film Sales Representatives and internal MULTIVAC colleagues to advance and propel the sales process.
This role will be responsible for keeping customer pricing up to date, analyzing pricing margins via regular analysis, and monitoring vendor performance as it relates to cost.
The role is a key central coordination point between Sales, Business Unit Management and our customers which requires strong analytical skills, the ability to balance priorities, an attention to detail and the ability to routinely follow-up with external resources.
Time Utilization: This position will require minimal travel of up to 10% of the time. Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, with no hybrid or remote options available. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate trade show, culinary events and customer schedules.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pricing Responsibilities:
1) Maintain and continually improve Multivac’s Materials Quick Quoting Tool. This tool is updated monthly to reflect material price, transportation costs and/or margin changes as required by supply chain changes or business unit management requests.
2) Analyze customer purchase history against current costs to ensure current/future pricing levels are adequate to maintain business unit goals.
3) Monitor the pricing database, per customer, to ensure the updated and correct prices are relevant to the market. Engage in regular communication with Field Sales Team on client activity, issues, trends, pricing, order patterns, and changes.
4) Work with Materials Forecasting & Inventory Analyst and Business Unit Director to reconcile shipping and warehouse charges. Update the customer pricing model as necessary. Assist sales to recover incremental shipping costs from their account base when applicable.
5) Be direct contact for all special pricing needs from suppliers.
6) Issue customized/special price quotations to field sales team. Work with Films Field Sales Team to address pricing discrepancies.
7) Analyze customer pricing trends to identify opportunities for making changes to pricing structure. Using the customer pricing information and competitive data above, make recommendations to current pricing structure as it relates to gaining market share and improving operating margins.
8) Manage the reporting of film/bag bundle agreements. Initiate paperwork to Materials Customer Support Administrator or Accounts Receivables/Billing Specialist to true-up or catch-up agreement fulfilment.
9) Develop and maintain database of competitive pricing information.
Reporting needs:
10) Monthly: provide summary of all price increases received from suppliers from previous month.
11) Monthly: update Film Bundling Summary Sheet to capture previous month’s spend and then analyze to ensure customers are on target to meet revenue expectations.
12) Quarterly: provide margin analysis to Business Unit Director to ensure current overall margins are congruent with Business Unit goals. Suggest necessary changes to implement if/when changes are merited.
13) Quarterly: provide pricing and margin trend analysis to Field Sales Team and Business Unit Director by Field Sales Rep for latest 12-month period.
Misc:
14) Maintain supplier relationships as it relates to maintaining current pricing lists, obtaining TDS sheets for all materials and keeping Compliance Documentation up to date.
15) Assist in managing central repository for all film quotes to Field Sales Team, film proposals to customers, LTAs/LOAs, film bundling agreements, regulatory documentation, competitive market/vendor details, and any other relevant information related to the film business.
16) TDS (Technical Data Sheet) Management – obtain Technical Data Sheet for every item sold by Multivac. Create and maintain the Multivac version of each on central hard drive and MS Teams site.
17) Compliance Documentation Management – obtain necessary compliance documentation from every supplier as needed. Assist Business Unit Director with fulfilling customer documentation requests and the completion of Vendor forms.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer two years or more in one or more of the following: customer service, sales support, business management, supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse management.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.
