Position Summary

The Assistant Vice President of Operations is responsible for the operational oversight, financial viability, strategy implementation and development of programs and clinical operations provided by MultiCare. This position works in collaboration with System and Regional Service, Strategy and Marketing leadership to develop strategies that integrate ambulatory and acute care platforms in a way that grows covered lives, develops new programs to serve the community, improves quality outcomes and are accretive to financial performance. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Essential Functions

  • Positively contributes to organizational culture to drive Quality, Innovation, Patient Satisfaction and Retention within Service Line.

  • Assures Service Line operation efficiency and financial outcomes within medical group departments.

  • Assures quality/outcomes across Service Line working closely with Medical Director

  • Provides strategic vision and leadership for Service Line.

  • Works with regional leadership to set objectives and facilitation implementation of regional plans.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years professional level experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience and demonstrated skills in administrative management of an acute care hospital, ambulatory operations or other appropriate health care or service-related organization or program.

  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum qualifications.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
