Muir Wood Teen Treatment is a leading provider of residential and outpatient behavioral healthcare for teens ages 12–17. With programs in Sonoma County, Clovis, and Riverside, we specialize in treating primary mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Our trauma-informed, relationship-centered approach combines evidence-based clinical care, accredited academics, and family involvement—creating environments where teens and families can heal together.

The Behavioral Health Technician is an integral part of the treatment team. The primary purpose of the Behavioral Health Technician is to provide structure, supervision and direction to our clients, promote accountability, and ensure their safety and wellness.

Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services provides residential treatment for adolescent boys with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health issues. Both residential programs are located in Petaluma, CA. Muir Wood also provides intensive outpatient services for both boys and girls in San Rafael. Nationally recognized as a gold standard in adolescent care, Muir Wood is also in-network with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna and Cigna. Our highly credentialed treatment team includes board-certified addiction physicians and psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified counselors, masters-level adventure therapists, and multiple-subject, State of California credentialed teachers. Muir Wood is also recognized in California as a private school and is accredited by both CARF and Joint Commission.
