We are currently recruiting for an Head of Talent Acquisition MUFG Bank Europe within our Human Resources Department in Amsterdam

The MBE subsidiary based in The Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam. 

 

Your impact at MUFG 

As Head of Talent Acquisition you will lead and oversee the overall recruitment process , aligning hiring with business goals, managing the MBE TA team, driving diversity (DEI), ensuring compliance in a regulated environment, and focusing on data-driven decisions for attracting and retaining top talent from early careers to sr. professionals, managing budgets, and improving the end-to-end candidate/hiring manager experience. You will act as strategic partner to senior leadership, focusing on future workforce planning and employer branding.

Reporting to Head of Human Resources EU and VP TA EMEA 

 

Director reports: 3-4 

The role includes the following: 

  • Responsible for end to end recruitment activities, including staff and contractors, partnering with Global Early Careers team for all locations under MBE, Amsterdam, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Austria 

  • Manage, coach, and develop the MBE talent acquisition team, including corporate recruiters, early career recruiters, and coordinators. 

  • Partner with senior executives, department heads, and HR to understand needs and align talent strategy with business objectives. 

  • Oversee recruitment technology (ATS, AI, automation), use data analytics to improve hiring outcomes, and drive digital transformation in recruitment. 

  • Ensure a seamless, positive, and inclusive candidate journey from application to onboarding. 

  • Lead initiatives to build diverse talent pools and promote inclusive hiring practices. 

  • Enhance the bank's employer brand to attract the best talent in a competitive market. 

  • Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to strict banking regulations and employment laws. 

  • Oversee recruitment budgets and external vendor relationships. 

 

 

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following: 

Skills and experience: 

  • Proven regional leadership in talent acquisition in an international complex, regulated industry. 

  • Experience in financial services recruitment is highly valued 

  • Lead with empathy, develop others intentionally, and foster cultures where people do their best work. 

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior leaders. 

  • Having the ability to communicate effectively, informatively and with sensitivity, with a wide range of stakeholders to maintain confidentiality and inspire trust 

  • Deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices, employment law, and HR tech. 

  • Passionate about inclusive hiring and understand the power of data, technology, and storytelling in shaping strategy and delivery of operations. 

  • Being results driven, with a strong sense of accountability whilst comfortable making decisions demonstrating the ability of having sound judgement 

  • Demonstrating a proactive, motivated approach 

  • Managing conflicting priorities and re-prioritize work accordingly 

  • Demonstrating a structured and logical approach to work whilst considering innovation.

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market  

  • 8% holiday allowance and 13th month payment.

  • Commuting allowance based on annual public transport 2nd class, most economical way, or € 0,21 per km with a max of 75km one way.  

  • €5,00 net remote working compensation per day, with a maximum of €60,00 per month. 

  • Possibility to order a mobile phone (up to €800,-) 

  • Possibility to order Office Equipment’s for the home office, (up to €500,-) 

  • Remote Working Policy i.e. Working From Home (WFH) and Remote Working in another Country.

  • Employee contribution towards Pension insurance (max 5%, currently 2%), our pension scheme is based on a defined contribution scheme.
