About this role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of frontline technical staff and contractor staff to carry out track, civil related maintenance and renewal / track modification activities to meet programme schedule and required standards
- Carry out rail failure investigation and recovery, including conducting regular inspection of tracks and support systems, scheduling inspection and maintenance activities to identify track irregularities, monitoring equipment performance and rectifying identified defects
- Direct and supervise emergency recovery, including allocating resources and tools to ensure delivery of assigned tasks and scheduled activities
- Perform land / engineering survey activities for the track maintenance works, including collecting on-site measurement of track alignment, advising necessary re-alignment and preparing survey reports
- Liaise with other responsible parties and confirm the possession in non-traffic hours
Requirements
- Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level
- Experience in railway maintenance and / or construction is an advantage
Remarks
- Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
- Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations

- The above position offers a Joining Bonus of $12,000, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme
