Responsibilities
Assist in planning, organising, supervising and carrying out engineering activities to ensure that railway assets, including structures, buildings, tunnels, slopes, retaining walls, noise barriers, trackside drainage, advertising panels and the associated trackside civil facilities are properly maintained in accordance with specified standards of safety, reliability and efficiency as well as user requirements
Conduct inter alia structural inspection / investigation, preventive and corrective maintenance and emergency repair
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that works are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner
Update and maintain procedures and work processes to minimise maintenance expenses and to enhance safety and productivity
Requirements
Diploma / Certificate in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level
Possession of an arborist certification from the International Society of Arboriculture is an advantage for the Tree and Landscape team
Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as proficiency in both English and Chinese
Knowledge of structural maintenance in an operating railway environment is an advantage
Remarks
Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations

The above position offers a Joining Bonus of $12,000, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme
Fresh or recent Engineering graduates with strong passion to develop career in railway will also be considered for Operations Engineering Associate Programme and will be groomed as engineering professionals
