About this role
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise a team of technical staff to carry out maintenance, service recovery and renewal & modification works of high voltage (HV) / overhead line (OHL) / traction power systems, up to and including 25kV / 1500V / 750V traction, 33kV / 11kV / 3.3kV three-phase AC power supply systems as well as low voltage distribution and trackside auxiliary equipment
- Report equipment conditions and monitor system performance
- Support budget preparation, projects / contracts implementation, tender evaluation, technical investigation, technology application as well as testing and commissioning of new equipment
- Carry out the overhaul maintenance and condition-based monitoring works, monitor the progress of modification projects as well as support asset management activities for assurance purpose
- Perform duties as an Authorised/Nominated Person
Requirements
- Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years' experience, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
- Possession of “Authorised Person” qualification in power utilities, Grade “C” or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong driving licence class 1 and 2 are preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Remarks
- Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
- Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
