About this role
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise a team of technical staff and contractor staff to carry out maintenance and renewal works in accordance with required standards
- Propose the approach and provide support for incident recovery of permanent way system
- Ensure proper use of tools and equipment for maintenance and renewal activities
Under Permanent Way Maintenance Support team, you will also:
- Undertake factory acceptance inspection and incoming goods inspection for railway maintenance spares
- Prepare reports and records for daily works, incidents and inspection to ensure safety and quality of maintenance works and inventory control
Under Permanent Way Integrity Assurance team, you will also:
- Monitor and supervise the non-destructive tests (NDT) and provision of permanent way machines for inspection and track maintenance
Requirements
- Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, of which 3 years should be at supervisory level
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in railway / industrial engineering and manufacturing is an advantage
Remarks
- Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
- Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
