About this role
Background
MTRCL’s Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) function oversees circa HKD 15 billion annual expenditure with 2,000 suppliers servicing Transport Operations, Properties and Corporate Services business users in Hong Kong. With over 100 procurement professionals, we deliver excellent services on strategic planning, sourcing, contracting and post award management of end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
This position is in the Operations Procurement Section responsible for procurements to support MTRCL’s railway operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide procurement and contract administration services for property-related services of MTR malls and managed properties, including but not limited to security services, clubhouse services, cleaning & pest control services, and landscaping services.
- Prepare tender documents such as the form of tender, instructions to tenderers and schedule of prices, and carry out tender assessment according to procedures
- Assist in negotiating with tenderers on contractual qualifications and commercial terms
- Carry out contract administration services including valuation of variations
- Assist in the strategic sourcing initiatives to apply sourcing levers, such as bundling and alternative sourcing, to continuously improve business value
- Assist in supplier management related activities, including supplier performance monitoring, evaluation and communications.
- Assist in procurement-related Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives such as application of green specifications
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Procurement and Supply Chain or other related field of study
- A minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in procurement
- Self-motivated with strong awareness of professional integrity and good communication skills
