Responsibilities
Direct, plan and supervise civil / structural / architectural / tree & landscape maintenance works / capital, revenue and maintenance projects / emergency support and recovery which include tunnel and plinth repair works, concrete and structural repair works, slopes, bridges and viaducts, tree, trackside advertising panels, wetland and landscape maintenance works, etc.
Lead a team of technical staff to handle works requests for operating railway and interfaces with new railway extensions from various stakeholders
Supervise and coordinate signage provision works in response to operational needs of train services and opening of new railway extensions
Oversee resource administration and / or contract management to ensure compliance with specified standards on safety, efficiency and budget requirements
Requirements
Degree in Civil / Structural / Architectural / Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in railway or construction works, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Possession of Corporate Membership in Civil / Structural Engineering is preferred
Possession of an arborist certification from the International Society of Arboriculture is an advantage for the Tree and Landscape team
Solid experience in project management and contract administration
Good communication and interpersonal skills with proactiveness and the ability to work independently
Previous experience in railway civil engineering project and construction contractor liaison would be an advantage
Remarks
Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
