About this role

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic actions for the development of Global Operations Standards (GOS) to promote MTR’s brand promises for adaptation in all global operations hubs in driving continuous improvement, excellence and sustainability in the transport industry 
  • Develop, implement and monitor Global Operations Standards Institute (GOSI) collaboration, oversee knowledge management and sharing platforms for facilitating effective knowledge management of railway operations across Hong Kong Transport Services, Chinese Mainland and all overseas hubs 
  • Plan, organize and conduct regular meetings/workshops/visits with Hong Kong Transport Services Business Unit, Chinese Mainland and all overseas hubs for reviewing and assuring observance of GOS 
  • Identify, distil and deliver knowledge pertinent to railway benchmarking, relevant studies and reports to facilitate adoption of best practices, disseminate benchmarking reports to line managers as appropriate 
  • Manage the GOSI professional training and qualification programmes and coordinate the professional development and coaching projects among Operations & Maintenance (O&M) hubs 
  • Implement the research and development of the GOS assessment framework which could identify improvement opportunities and facilitate the effective implementation of GOS 
  • Support communication with internal stakeholders and collaboration with external stakeholders in promoting benchmarking and GOSI initiatives


Requirements 

  • Degree in Management / Engineering / Science or a related discipline 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level 
  • Good understanding of railway engineering and operations management systems 
  • Familiarization of training & development and/or standards development framework 
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English & Chinese (including Cantonese & Mandarin)
