Job Description

The Director of Capital Project Delivery serves as the single point of contact for delivery of Digital (Automation and IT) scope in support of very large capital projects (> $1 billion total capital investment) managed by Global Engineering Solutions (GES), for Human Health facilities at the Elkton, VA site.

The incumbent will partner with stakeholders in the business, GES, Quality, and Digital our Company's Manufacturing Division Product Teams such as the Process Control Product Team and MES Product Team, for example, to ensure that projects are correctly scoped and delivered with appropriate technology and qualification standards.

The incumbent will be responsible for reporting project status to management and other stakeholder groups, and will be accountable for finance, staffing, and delivery of the end-to-end scope from FEL2 through OQ, typically in the range of 6-8% of the overall capital project spend.

This role is initially to support Project Fastnet, consisting of new Small Molecule facilities in Elkton, VA, and will be based there.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree. 

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field/MBA preferred.

Required:

  • 12 or more years of experience in project management/automation/IT support required.

  • Experience using Emerson DeltaV system required

  • Experience using PLC/SCADA is a plus.

  • Excellent understanding of cGMP's, GAMP5 and SDLC methodologies, and LEAN/our Company's Production System /Agile principles. 

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions is essential. Proven facilitation, meeting/workshop management, project management and change management skills are essential, along with excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$173,200.00 - $272,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
