Your Team Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Analytics Sales Analyst to join MSCI’s Americas Broker Dealers & Market Makers (BDMM) coverage team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the growth of MSCI’s Analytics business by working directly with sellside trading desks, risk teams, and portfolio construction groups. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing, analytically rigorous environment and enjoys solving complex portfolio and risk management challenges.

This is a front-office role designed to provide deep exposure to client engagement, sales strategy execution, and the full breadth of MSCI’s Analytics solutions — including risk models, portfolio analytics, scenario analysis, and optimization tools.

Your Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Support

  • Support the Senior Analytics Sales Specialist in managing and executing sales opportunities across broker dealers, market makers, and trading desks.

  • Participate in client meetings, prepare analytics materials, and help articulate MSCI’s value proposition around risk management, factor modeling, and portfolio construction.

  • Analyze client workflows to identify where MSCI Analytics can add value, improve desk efficiency, or expand usage.

Analytics & Product Expertise

  • Develop strong expertise across MSCI Analytics, including RiskManager, Barra Portfolio Manager, factor models, stress testing, VaR frameworks, liquidity analytics, and optimization techniques.

  • Translate client challenges into actionable demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and solution configuration.

  • Support RFPs, product evaluations, and client onboarding activities.

Sales Execution & Pipeline Support

  • Assist with prospecting, opportunity tracking, pipeline management, pricing preparation, and coordination with account managers.

  • Prepare market analysis, competitive positioning, and insights to help drive segment strategy.

  • Work closely with internal product, client service, and research teams to ensure seamless client delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the broader Americas Analytics, Research, and Client Coverage organization to align messaging and execute go-to-market initiatives.

  • Provide structured feedback to product and research teams based on client interactions and workflow observations.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably within sellside analytics, sales & trading, or client-facing FinTech/SaaS role

  • Understanding of equity, fixed income, or multi-asset risk and portfolio analytics concepts (Factor models, optimization, quant signals) preferred.

  • Exceptional communication skills and comfort engaging directly with quantitative and non-quantitative client stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment.

  • Interest in pursuing or progress toward the CFA or FRM is a plus.
